Kenyans were enthralled by Mellisa Ngania’s prowess during the hearing of NASA's Raila Odinga petition at the Supreme Court.

She was representing President Uhuru Kenyatta in the case whose hearing was concluded on Tuesday ahead of Friday's ruling.

Social media users took screen shots of her presentation before flooding the images on social media with compliments and commendations.

Ng'ania worked alongside Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia, Ahmednasir Abdullahi and lawyer Tom Macharia.

She is the youngest female lawyer in the 2017 petition. The first to seize the headlines was Kethi Kilonzo who featured in the 2013 petition.

Kethi won the hearts of many with her composure and fluency. She represented the Africa Centre for Open Governance (AfriCOG) in the case.

According to the LSK website, Ngania has practiced law for five years since her admission to the bar in 2011.

Her appearance struck healthy conversations on social media.

Absalom Mokaya said: "This young lawyer stole the show at the Supreme Court."

Nelson Havi: "Kudos Mellisa Nga'nia, youngest and only female lawyer who argued substance for Uhuru in #PresidentialPetitionKe."

"Where I come from, the father stops carrying a rifle as soon as the son or daughter can handle cattle rustlers."
