More than 100 Busia women and youths have undergone eight-day training in job creation through Do-nou (gunny bags) technology.
This is courtesy of Community Road Empowerment, a Japanese NGO. Project manager Yuka Iwamura yesterday said the organisation focusses on empowering society socially and economically.
He says they have used the technology in other counties such as Kwale and Makueni. Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong (pictured) presided over the award of certificates. They learnt how to build and repair rural roads.
