The Jubilee administration planned to assassinate NASA leaders on Friday, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula has claimed.

He claimed police shot at and stoned his vehicle during a procession to welcome NASA leader Raila Odinga from his US trip.

"A police officer aimed a gun at my vehicle and opened fire shuttering all the rear passenger windows. A police officer threw stones at my vehicle," he said on Saturday.

Raila's vehicle was also reportedly stoned as .

Wetang'ula said that it was wishful thinking by Jubilee that NASA will disintegrate and allow it remain in power without validly being elected.

He said Luhyas will not bow before President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto to get development.

The NASA co-principal noted that Luhyas are Kenyans and deserve services like anyone else without having to back "an illegitimate regime".

“We are not visitors or tenants in this country. Jubilee has sold Pan-paper at throw away price to Uhuru and Rai, Nzoia [Sugar company] is on its knees and Mumias [Sugar company] is still struggling as Jubilee splash development in Central and Rift Valley,” he said.

The Bungoma Senator claimed that Jubilee has embarked on a scheme to cripple the economy in Western region's four counties, namely Bungoma, Busia, Kakamega and Vihiga.

Wetang’ula said that any attempt by Jubilee to divide Luhyas for political expediency will fail after his unity with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi consolidates the community "in opposition to oppressive rule through fraud".

He said Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati will write to the government seeking a review of the Pan Paper, now Rai Paper, sale agreement with a view to reverting ownership of the factory to residents.

He said that it was a shame for Uhuru to sell a factory worth Sh20 billion to himself at a paltry Sh900million.

“We shall refund their money and have the company in the hands of the people,” he said.

Wetang'ula added:

“Uhuru has written off Sh7 billion debt for coffee farmers and billions owed by dairy farmers but declined to write off debts owed by sugar farmers and millers to kill our economy and he expects us to sing for him until we kneel down for him. We’re not going to do that."

He spoke during the burial service for Thomas Otipa at Sabatia village in Butere subcounty. The late was son to Mumias Sugar Company Managing Director Nahashon Aseka.

MPs Tindi Mwale (Butere), Ayub Savula (Lugari) and Ben Washiali (Mumias East) attended the funeral.

Wetang’ula urged Kenyans not to panic about the current situation in the country, adding that Raila will rescue them from "the illegitimate Jubilee regime".
