Three candidates fail to show up for KCSE exams in Kitale

Three candidates failed to show up for their KCSE exams in Kitale on Monday.

The three had been suspended from St Joseph Boys' National School over indiscipline.

Principal Peter Obwogo said they had been permitted by the County Education Board to sit their papers as day scholars but they failed to show up.

"They never showed up yesterday and during rehearsal. I tried to contact their parents but they have not responded," he said.

But Obwogo said the 477 candidates sat the exam uninterrupted.

Elsewhere, four candidates of Mitoto SA Integrated Special Secondary School are sitting for the national

exams.

One of the candidates, Jane Awinja, who uses brail exuded confidence that she is going to perform well in her exams.

“Our teacher prepared us well and we are confident that we are going to succeed and the exam to is fairly good, ” Awinja said.

Their teacher Pius Musi expressed confidence that the students will excel.

He said the special candidates who use brail in the school are two while two others use large print.

“We are confident that they will succeed in their exams,” he pointed out.
