Eldoret West OCPD Samwel Mutunga collapsed during a security meeting at the police station on Tuesday.
The officer had complained about feeling unwell.
"He complained before fainting but is now out of danger," said Uasin Gishu county police commander Joseph ole Kine.
Kine said Mutunga will remain at the hospital until doctors declare him fit to be discharged.
"We have visited him and he is now stable. We wish him well. There is no cause for alarm," Kine said.
