The Teachers Service Commission will recruit 4,523 tutors by the end of the year to fill positions left vacant by colleagues who retired or died. An advertisement on the commission’s website indicates that there are 3,922 vacancies for primary school teachers, and 601 positions for secondary and tertiary institutions. The replacement “is for teachers who exited service from July to September 2016”, TSC says. Candidates have until December 31 to submit their applications.
