Police shot dead three suspected carjackers
and recovered two pistols with six bullets on Wednesday in Nairobi.
The three were gunned down following a carjacking incident on Kangundo road.
Police said that the owner of the car, a female, was unhurt as police rescued her.
The four suspected criminals, they said, had taken
the woman
hostage before a member of the public tipped off the police.
The fourth suspect escaped on foot after the incident.
