President Uhuru Kenyatta has invited the opposition to Afraha stadium for Madaraka day fete on Wednesday.

"The President and

DP William Ruto invite Raila Odinga and Wetangula for Afraha Madaraka day Celebrations," PSCU on Tuesday.

A source said Cord leaders accepted the invite but insisted the Uhuru Park rally must go on.

Details of the

brief meeting between Cord and the president remains scanty

but the ongoing IEBC protests was discussed.
