THE Commission for University Education board meets today amid reports the CEO could be sacked for non-performance.
Chairman Henry Thairu, through email one week ago, notified board members about today’s meeting, sources said.
On December 21, the board unanimously agreed that chief executive David Some’s performance since September 2012 has been below par.
“The position should be advertised for a result-oriented candidate,” the board said.
CUE contracted Africa Corporate Governance Advisory Services to carry out a review on the performance of the CEO.
The company returned low scores on his presentation of university quality audit reports, teamwork and lack of proper delegation within the commission.
