THE Education ministry’s claim that Bridge International Academies offer substandard teaching is “factually incorrect”, the school’s management has said.

Education CS Fred Matiang’i on Tuesday said the institution, mainly based in slums, is not registered but has been operating since 2009.

He spoke after his surprise inspection of Wami and Bridge International schools in Kawangware.

However, in a statement yesterday, the school said its KCPE exam candidates have performed well.

“A child in Gatina, Kawangware, is almost guaranteed to pass at Bridge International Academies,” the school said.

It said last year, 92 per cent of its KCPE exam candidates in Gatina passed the test.

The school said a child would most likely fail the exam in any other school in the slum.
