The High Court yesterday issued a warrant of arrest for Director of Criminal Investigations Ndegwa Muhoro.

He failed to implement orders issued by the court.

Justice Isaac Lenaola said Muhoro should be brought to court on February 4.

On August 13 last year, the court ordered him to investigate Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company boss Philip Gichuki’s employment contract.

Lenaola said there is no valid reason the CID has not produced the report in court so the case can be concluded.

Activist Okiya Omtatah argues Gichuki’s contract is a forgery and the CID should examine its authenticity.

“In an intriguing departure from the standard where all pages in contracts are usually initialled by all parties, pages one to nine were initialled by the respondent (Gichuki) and not by NWSC chairman Peter Kuguru,” Omtatah said.
