Theatre in Kenya is an art nurtured by many companies and individuals. One such example was last weekend, when Aperture Africa staged a localised British comedy, Out Of Order. The play had a three-day run from September 25-27. It was a a charity show supporting Ewaso Lions, a Lion conservation organisation. The emcee of the three evening shows was Pritul Raithatha.

The play was directed by Amar Desai, and starred himself, Ben Spybey, Vikash Pattni, Sahil Vasani, Premdeep Bahra, Nilofer Abji, Kush Damji, Jinita Shah, Elsie Oluoch, and Anubhav Garg. The production was supported by Securex, Sun Africa Hotels, Edge Point Property, Payroll Centre, Prime Bank, Elite Offset, Nirbhau, Bay Tree, ACME, Crown Paints, Mahitaji Myrobi, Alpine Adventures, Ole-Sereni, Wellman, Adsite and East FM, Kenya’s Premier Asian Mix.

The play was a smashing hit.
