Three suspects have been arrested in Mombasa for having 209 rolls of bhang and 750 tablets of rohypnol, locally known as bugizi.

The suspects, two of whom are brothers, were also found with Sh300,000 and two pangas when they were apprehended on Wednesday.

Brothers Hassan Juma alias Toly, Juma Mjomba, and a man only identified as Rasta, are being held on suspicion of drug trafficking.

Following his arrest in Guraya, Rasta led the police to Ujamaa where the siblings were found.

"These are some of the suspects who have been on our radar for a long time, we will hunt them into their bedrooms," said Regional police commander Robert Kitur.

Addressing the media in his office, Kitur said police in the county are maintaining vigilance in the war on drugs.

He said the suspects will be arraigned in court on Thursday, after investigations are completed.
