The Plants for Life nursery is situated in Brackenhurst, Tigoni just 25 km from Nairobi CBD.
It has over 10,000 seedlings in stock of 47 indigenous species such as Newtonia, Meru Oak, Cape Chestnut, Prunus Africana (mwiri), Rauvolfia, Mugumo, Juniper Cedar (mutarakwa) and Warburgia (muthiga).
Indigenous trees and shrubs increase biodiversity, prevent soil erosion, safeguard rivers against storm flow, restore springs, increase soil fertility, make high-value timber, and provide firewood as well as shade, medicine, and fruits.
Deliveries in the Nairobi Metropolitan Area are free for orders over Sh3,000.
