Additionally, the DP participated in various graduation ceremonies, including the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) national delegates conference.

Commencing the week, Gachagua attended a Sunday Mass and a fundraising event at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Baragoi Town, Samburu County.

During these events, he expressed the commitment of government agencies to collaborate with leaders in Samburu and across the nation to foster harmonious coexistence among communities.

"This will allow for lasting development in the region,'' the DP said.

The Mass was presided over by Maralal Diocese Bishop Hieronymus Emusugut Joya.

On Monday, the Deputy President visited Garsen, Tana River County, where the government intensified its humanitarian assistance efforts for thousands of families impacted by flooding.

Gachagua oversaw the distribution of food, non-food items, medicines, and monetary aid through the cash transfer safety net program.

"This will continue to cover the eight most affected counties as well as the other regions," he said.

"Resources have been deployed to support these immediate interventions as we work with partners on resilience structures," the DP added.

Gachagua was accompanied by Cabinet Secretaries Kipchumba Murkomen (Transport and Roads), and Peninah Malonza (East Africa, ASALs and Regional Development).

Earlier that day, Gachagua held a consultative meeting with leaders from Kisii County on development matters.

The leaders were led by South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro-the Majority Whip at the National Assembly-  and Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi, who is also the UDA National Treasurer.

" It is part of fulfilling our Plan that ensures every part of the country benefits from the Government's development programmes in equal measure,'' Gachagua said after the meeting.
