I'll serve with zeal and vigor, Kutuny says after landing state job

Former Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny has spoken after President William Ruto appointed him as the Chairperson Kenya Copyright Board.

In a statement, Kutunty said he was ready to work with the President in order to deliver the government's agenda as planned.

"Thanks Your Excellency President William Ruto for appointing me the Chairperson Kenya Copyright Board for a period of three years. I will diligently serve with seal and vigor so that together we deliver your government's agenda as planned. Thank you once more," he said.

Kutuny lost his seat in the 2022 elections which he sought to retain on a Jubilee party ticket that is under the Azimio La Umoja.

He lost his seat to Patrick Simiyu of the Democratic Action Party of Kenya DAP-K in the August 9 polls.

At the time, he was also Jubilee Party Deputy Secretary General.

Kutuny conceded defeat and congratulated Simiyu. He also urged him to diligently serve the people of Cherang'any constituency and deliver on his campaign manifesto.

Kutuny is one of the few Rift Valley MPs who campaigned for ODM leader Raila Odinga's presidential bid in the 2022 elections.

After the polls, he joined a faction of Jubilee MPs who closed ranks with President Ruto and vowed to work with him.
