Two Thika students steal invigilator, police officer’s phones, sentenced to one year probation

Two KCSE candidates from Heights Academy in Thika have been sentenced to one-year probation after they were found guilty of stealing mobile phones from examination officers.

The two pleaded guilty to theft of Infinix Note 5 valued at Sh 18,000 from Eunice Wanjiku, a KCSE invigilator and a Tecno N65 valued at Sh10,000 from Hassan Gabow, a police officer on November 6 at their school.

The suspects appeared before Thika Resident Magistrate N.M Kyanya Nyamori.

The court sentenced them to one-year probation an option of a fine.

In the same school, an invigilator was charged in court for tampering with examination papers before the start of Chemistry paper exams.
