An MCA in Nyandarua County was on Friday night attacked and injured by unknown people outside his gate in Nyahururu town.
Gatimu MCA Kieru Wambui was
injured on his hand and was left bleeding from the mouth and nose by the attackers.
He was rushed to a local health facility in Nyahururu town where he was treated and discharged.
Wambui is the chairman of the special committee hearing a public petition seeking the impeachment of two county executives on alleged incompetence, abuse of office and gross misconduct.
They are Finance CEC Mary Mugwanja and her Trade counterpart Rose Wamuiya.
The house is expected to debate the petition on Saturday during a special sitting.
The County Assembly has ten days to either trash or adopt the recommendations of the petition.
