If someone asked you why you love Kenya, what would you say?

Some like the vibrant cultures including that of the matatu industry and others the calmness of some locations.

Virgin Group Founder Richard Branson loves the people's kindness and the nature.

"Kenya offers a vast landscape of untouched beauty; it gives one such a sense of peace," he told the

Kenya Tourism Board, as published in its May- June magazine.

"You can get so incredibly close to the wildlife in their natural environment and there's a unique sense of harmony about Kenya that you won't find anywhere else on earth."

Branson also loves

taking children on safari so they can learn about conservation and the world.

The business mogul has

set up the 12-tented Olare Motogari Conservancy in the Maasai Mara. He intends to

expand the conservancy for the benefit of both local community and wildlife alike.

"The abudance of animal life in the conservancy is quite simply jaw-dropping. Operating within it means that we are able to better control the number of vehicles and guests," he said.

He added that theirs is a strict code of conduct that generally boosts tourism in the Mara.

Branson noted that

Kenya demonstrated

good leadership by burning 105 tonnes of ivory, equivalent to the tusks of roughly 8,000 elephants.

"This sent an ambiguous message to poachers and traffickers alike to the effect that Kenya is no longer prepared to tolerate illegal global trade," he noted.
