Machakos students to get 50% scholarship at Chandigarh University, India

Governor Alfred Mutua has signed a MoU that will see students from his Machakos County benefit from a 50 per cent scholarship to study at Chandigarh University in India.

The memorandum was signed by Faith Kithu, CEC for education and Mandeep Singh, head of International admissions from the University.

Chandigarh University offers various courses including technical skills courses that are extremely marketable locally.

"I urge all young people from Machakos looking to pursue higher education to consider this great opportunity that will also increase their international exposure," Mutua said through a statement.

"My government remains focused on empowering our youth through education and entrepreneurial skills among other interventions to ensure that they remain competitive in the job market and the business world internationally," he added.
