This trendy lion looks like he’s been inspired by hipsters when it comes to his hair do.

With a slick top knot and apparently unshaven beard, the king of the jungle certainly looks like he's had a little help securing his look.

Award-winning wildlife photographer Paras Chandaria snapped the unusual beast in Nairobi National Park.

"I thought his hair was awesome. I couldn’t help but take a picture," said the Kenyan.

"With a slick top knot and apparently unshaven beard, the king of the jungle certainly looks like he's had a little help securing his look."

Paras says he is a frequent visitor to the park and drives around it taking pictures of his favourite big cats.

"My passion in wildlife started at a young age and was born out of a love and fascination with the natural wild," he said on his website.

"I learnt early in my life that once I came across a wild animal it was down to me how long that encounter would last.

"My images that I have produced in the wild are a true representation of an event that occurred in the wild and witnessed and recorded in my camera.

"My creative and emotional attachment to nature is at the very heart of every image, fashioning a unique and artistic reflection of the wild to bring people’s awareness of the beautiful wildlife we have on our doorstep and all around us."
