The government has withdrawn security detail attached to several NASA leaders.

The officers were disarmed and reassigned at the GSU headquarters.

“Mine was the first to be recalled on Tuesday and a few minutes later they recalled security officers attached to Siaya Senator James Orengo and Mbita North legislator

Millie Odhiambo,” ODM Chairman John Mbadi said.

“We will not bow down to intimidation and we will not recognize Uhuru as Kenya’s president.”

Despite Interior CS Fred Matiangi’s allegations that the government withdrew the police from Nairobi’s Uhuru Park following intelligence reports of a planned massacre, the officers and their bosses told the Star the order to recall the officers was issued at 5 pm, after the swearing-in ceremony of Raila Odinga.

Mbadi said they were asked, “to respond to an emergency at the Headquarters immediately”.

“Mine was told to report to the General Service Unit Headquarters urgently, and when he delayed, he was picked at 4 am,” Ugunja MP

Opiyo Wandayi

told the Star.

The legislators told the Star that the manipulation of the National police service to serve the interests of Jubilee will not change their ideological stand to push for equality, respect, good governance and electoral justice.

“We are not afraid and we are not bothered as long as the interests of Kenyans come first,” Mbadi said.

The Star could not establish the number of the NASA MPs whose security was withdrawn but all the officials contacted did not have their security officers.

“If anything happens to me the Inspector General Joseph Boinnet will directly be held responsible,” Wandayi said.

Those affected include Governors, Senators, Women Reps and Members of parliament who most of them refused to be quoted or mentioned in the story.

“We don’t care much about security since our role as leaders is to serve Kenyans and interact with our people-friends, families, neighbours and relatives- freely,” Minority leader said.

“As the minority leader, I was told I will be given three security officers to add to the one I have.

My predecessor had five but yesterday they came for the only one I had.”

Kakamega

Senator

Cleophas

Malala said that NASA will not be intimidated for not recognizing Uhuru’s presidency.

“I have never requested or had security officers because I do not recognize Uhuru’s government. In fact, my security is with God. And God wants me to serve his people,” Malala said.

Mbita North legislator

Millie Odhiambo said, “My security and that of other mainly Luo MPs was withdrawn yesterday. I have

with immediate effect directed angels to take care of me.

We have balls

omera. YOLO-The People's President Raila Amollo Odinga

tibim!”

Alego Mp Sam Atandi said those withdrawn are the ones considered pushing the Raila agenda.

“We are going on with the people’s assembly and we are going to have a convention.
