NEMA has ordered the closure of two more clubs in Kilimani following rampant complains by
residents.
The two are; KIZA and Jiweke Tavern.
Last week the authority closed the popular
B-Club and Space clubs in the same area.
"Every Kenyan has a right to a healthy and clean environment as enshrined in the Constitution. NEMA will not hesitate to enforce the law by closing noisy businesses close to residential areas and are not sound proof," NEMA's Head of Corporate Communications Evans Nyabuto said.

The Authority said some of these clubs are owned by "influential
people".
The closure operation was conducted by the Nairobi liquor licensing board officials in collaboration with officers from the national government.
In August 2016, the
court ordered the temporary closure of Space Lounge and Grill on Ngong' Road, Nairobi, pending the determination of a noise pollution case.
Magistrate Mary Murage had revoked the popular club's permit pending the case on loud music.
Clubs operating in residential areas should not exceed sound levels of 55 decibels during the day and 35 decibels at night.
Those operating in purely commercial areas should not go beyond 60 decibels during the day and 35 decibels at night.
However, most the sound levels of most city clubs are at more than 80 decibels.
