Jubilee Party supporters in Malindi broke into celebrations on the town's streets after the Supreme Court validated President Uhuru Kenyatta's victory.

Phillip Charo, Amina Mnyazi, ex-nominated MCA Elzabeth Muthoka, led the group which drank Brookside milk in support of the president.

The happy supporters said it was time for Kenya to move forward after the stalemate which followed after the disputed August 8 election.

Charo, who lost the Malindi MP race, said it is time Kilifi residents joined hands to support the government to end the perception that the area is an opposition zone.

"It is a big day for Kenya and Malindi. The ruling has proved we respect the institutions set by the Constitution. We are happy with the court's decision."

Charo said the economy of the country has suffered due to the political stalemate further calling for peace.

The politician dismissed leaders calling for secession of Coast, terming the move cheap.

He said those calling for secession were doing so for personal gains as they fear they will not be relevant after 2022.

On her part, Mnyazi told people to buy Brookside milk and use their Safaricom lines.

The products were among those that NASA asked its supporters to boycott on grounds they aided IEBC to rig the August election.

Mnyazi told Kilifi governor Amason Kingi and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho to stop the secession talk adding that it will fail.

He said Joho should wait for 2022 to challenge Deputy President William Ruto "if indeed he is a man enough."
