EACC detectives have arrested

Suna East MP aspirant Patrick Odipo

for allegedly giving IEBC false information.

Odipo is said to have used a forged certificate for the August 8 election which he lost to incumbent Junet Mohamed.

"He used a KCSE certificate belonging to someone else to seek clearance to vie," EACC said.

Via Twitter on Tuesday, the anti-grant commission noted the arrest

followed investigations and DPP Keriako Tobiko's direction for prosecution.

The politician was also arrested on claims of impersonation and submitting falsified declaration forms to the electoral agency.

In June, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission grilled

and recorded statements from Odipo alias Nahashon.

Chapter 6 of the constitution requires all public office holders or aspirants to uphold high integrity standards.
