Police launch investigations as Mombasa clinician found murdered

Police are investigating the murder of a clinical officer who was stabbed to death in Likoni Mombasa County.

Police says preliminary investigations have established that the clinician by the name Kaimenyi was confronted and stabbed more than 50 times by unknown people as he was walking home Saturday night .

The deceased had multiple injuries in his body.

His body was found dumped near the ocean , just two kilometers from his work place.

Likoni police boss Benjamin Rotich on Sunday said they have launched investigation to establish the motive of the attackers.

He was identified as Patrick Kaimenyi who works at dispensary within Likoni.

“He was dragged from road and stabbed severally in his chest and abdomen by the attackers before his was dumped near the ocean .we have launched investigation into the incident. “said Rotich

The deceased has been working at Stella Marris dispensary in Timbwani Likoni for the last 8years.

Rotich says the will question staff at the dispensary to assist in the investigation.
