The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry national chairman Kiprono Kittony has been appointed to serve as vice chairman of the World Chamber Federation representing Africa region effective June 2017 to December 31 next year.
His appointment is a boost to Kenya’s quest to host the 2021 World Chambers Congress. The WCC is a premier event of its kind that takes place every two years, bringing together more than 1,200 delegates from the business community.
Kittony's appointment was celebrated at the Galileo Lounge on July 20.
In attendance were his wife Rosemary Kittony and daughter Chanelle Kittony, Export Promotion Council CEO Peter Biwott, Radio Africa Group Ltd editor-in-chief Charles Kerich, Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu and Little Legends Ltd MD Julius Opio, among other guests.
