Interest on 15-year bond rises, 10-year’s falls at the auction

The weighted average yield on Kenya’s 15-year Treasury bond rose slightly to 13.141 percent at an auction on Wednesday from 13.112 per cent at its last sale in September, the Central Bank of Kenya said.

The bank’s statement said the yield on a 10-year bond also on sale fell to 12.472 per cent from 13.112 per cent at its last sale in September.

The bank had offered a total Sh40 billion in the two auctions. It received bids worth a total Sh38.8 billion and accepted Sh20 billion.
