A Kiambu MCA was allegedly lured by a woman to a house where three armed people accused him of fornicating with a married woman and stole his Sh53,000.

Kiganjo MCA Samuel Mwarage gave the account at a court on Thursday and said those who stole his money were two men and a woman who had crude weapons.

Mwarage said in his testimony before Kiambu principal magistrate Justus Kituku that he had been on a business meeting with a woman named

Catherine Wanjiku.

He said the meeting concerned the sale of clothes which he was to be shown at her house.

But he said that when they got to the house, another woman and two men burst in waving pangas.

The MCA told the court that one of the men claimed he was Wanjiku's husband and accused them of having an affair.

"It is tormenting. The accused offered to show me samples of dresses she had that I could sell at a boutique I own," he said.

Mwarage said the two of them were ordered to take off their clothes and go to a bedroom where photos were taken.

"I was beaten and scratched with the panga on my back, and cut on my right hand while trying to block them," he said, adding he was told the photos would be leaked to the media.

The MCA further told the court Wanjiku remained silent but was not hurt. He said she was left in the bedroom while he was dragged to the living room and asked for Sh100,000.

"I only had Sh23,000 in my pocket which I had withdrawn from the bank in the morning to buy medicine for my paralysed relative," he said.

He added that the people who attacked them threatened to sever his private parts if he did not give them the money.

Mwarage said he gave the phone number of a friend who agreed to give the accused Sh30,000.

"I gave several numbers to the accused who had demanded that I call someone to send more money. One of my friends agreed but told the accused to collect the money in Nairobi since we were in Kiambu," he said.

The ward representative said Wanjiku remained in the house with the man who claimed to be her husband.

He said the rest of them went to a car that was waiting outside.

Mwarage told the court he noticed construction workers as they worked out and called for help. He said the workers rescued him after the culprits hurriedly entered the vehicle and sped off.

The MCA reported the matter at Kiambu police station whose officers went to the scene.

Police found Wanjiku hiding in a nearby house and learned her purported husband had fled. They launched investigations during which they arrested a woman named Millicent Wairimu.

The two women have denied committing robbery with violence at Mwandus in kiambu town, with accomplices. They were released on

Sh500,000 bond each.

The hearing will continue on September 9.
