Student of the Year sequel in the pipeline

Admit it. We all loved the movie Student of the Year, which is a good thing. Filmmaker Karan Johar has confirmed that he will be making a sequel of the 2012 film.

A fan asked KJo in a question and answer session on Twitter on Saturday if he would be making a sequel of the film.

The fan must be over the moon because he replied:

@DivyaChouksey@karanjohar will you be making a sequel of#SOTY??” yes!!! Will be announced in 2 months! #soty2#koffeewithkaran

Student Of The Year is a coming-of-age romantic comedy, which was produced by Hiroo Yash Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, and in collaboration with superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.
The film marked the debut of actors Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.
It also stars veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor and Farida Jalal.

Actress Bipasha Basu, rumours about whose engagement with alleged boyfriend Karan Singh Grover have been doing the rounds, made a "humble request" to her fans and followers on Twitter on March 6.
She posted a series of tweets on the microblogging site on Sunday:

Wait for me 2announce my wedding when I want to n if I want to. Please stop treating it frivolously.

For years I have dealt with this constant discussion. Please be patient. After all it's my life:) Thank you all.

Humble request to all those who love me.

Bipasha, 37, and her 34-year-old Alone co-star Karan were spotted coming out of a spa on Saturday in Mumbai. Bipasha was also photographed at the back seat of the car, while Karan was seated in front, next to the driver.

It appears, Bipasha, who was looking down, was trying to avoid the paparazzi, while a ring was visible in her hand.

Bipasha previously dated actor-producer John Abraham, while Karan was earlier married to actress Jennifer Winget, who was his second wife.

His first marriage was to actress Shraddha Nigam.

Only the rich and the famous are talking of intolerance, there is no debate on the issue, actor Anupam Kher said on Saturday.

"This is a no debate. The rich and the famous are talking of intolerance. If you ask a man on the street, they won't talk about intolerance. All they want is food two times a day. Those with a champagne in a glass are only talking about it. Are you living in India or America," Kher said at the Telegraph National Debate on intolerance in Kolkata.

He said the "biggest" form of intolerance in the country was during the emergency when all those people who spoke against the government were jailed.

Taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi, he said, "Congress is the most tolerant in India because they are tolerating a person whom they want to project as a prime minister of this country".

"If you can tolerate that person then you can tolerate anything in the world. This is ridiculous. Did you hear the word intolerance before the last eight months? This has been marketed to take revenge for the defeat in the last elections," Kher said, adding that in the last 10 years, corruption was the most talked about topic.
AICC spokesman Randeep Surjewala said in the last two years it has often appeared that intolerance is now part of the mainstream discourse.

Bollywood actress Kajol said there are different types of intolerance and political intolerance is only one of them.

"To make all social issues a political one is absolutely wrong. I also think that we have to work together to make a stronger and richer India and only then will intolerance cease to exist. The debate on intolerance does not recognise this," she said.

With the kind of craze and fan following that Sunny Leone has, it wouldn't be surprising to know that many in Qatar must have cancelled all their appointments on March 11 to attend Sunny Leone live for the first time in an event titled 'Mega Bollywood Night'. She was scheduled to perform at the Asian Town Amphitheatre.
Suddenly, almost everyone was in for a rude and sudden shock when they got to know that the event had been cancelled. As per reports, Qatar officials cancelled the event, because 'any cultural or artistic event is given the license only if it complies with the public morals of the Qatari society'.
