The 216th birthday of Param Poojya Sant Shiromani Shree Jalaram Bapa was celebrated on Saturday evening at the Shree Jalaram Satsang Mandal in Parklands. Jalaram Bapa was born on November 14, 1799, the seventh day of the bright half Kartik sud Satam, Vikram era.

He started off going round feeding priests who used to take rest at this village on their way to Dwarika and Junagadh. Through this feeding ritual, the lord disguised himself as a saint and blessed him that his house shall never fail to have food. To date in the village of Virpur, over 20,000 people go for meals daily.

The mandal here celebrated his birthday with a grand and joyous celebration where they cut cake and sang songs of devotion. They also feed the hungry seven days a week as well as donate jaipur medical supplies to those in need, keeping in line with the philosophy of Jalaram Bapa.
