Five minutes – Timpol Daniel Lemayan: I saw a nurse botch an injection, I still get the creeps

I’m good at.........planning.

I’m very bad at.....remembering. Often it’s things I’m supposed to do.

The last book I enjoyed reading is...........Anthills of the Savannah by Chinua Achebe.

The most surprising thing that happened to me is...............winning the Maasai Mara campus student elections – by a thin margin – and I’m now the president.

A common misconception of me is......I am soft and cool, and I cannot act.

One of my worst childhood fears was........injections. I witnessed a nurse mess up once and I still get the creeps to date.

My ideal night out is................with friends at a place with lots of music and dancing.

In another life I’d have been.......a national leader.

If I was a politician, I would.....................fulfil all my election promises, advocate people’s rights and enhance development. Talk about the likes of Rafael Tuju and Peter Kenneth.

The best age to be is........mid 20s.

The best parts of my job is......attending functions, where I rub shoulders with great people and get an opportunity to sell them my ideologies as a young leader.

My greatest regret is..............missing my admission to Kenyatta University, but I have learnt to love my current institution passionately.

Living person I most admire................Russian President Vladimir Putin.

My favourite writer is......Wole Soyinka.

My greatest possession is.....................a heifer gifted to me by my uncle after I won the campus elections.

My life mantra...........strength does not come from physical capability but through an indomitable will.

If I was to die in five minutes, my last words would be............May God support my family and get them where I would have taken them if I had lived longer.

Timpol Daniel Lemayan is the president of the Maasai Mara University student council.
