SRK's stadium ban lifted

Back in 2012 during the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches, Shah Rukh Khan (above) had a brawl with the security personnel at Wankehede Stadium. On that day Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat the Mumbai Indians.

SRK has repeatedly said that he was provoked by the security guards after they touched a group of children he was accompanying, including his daughter. SRK, who is the team owner of KKR was not present at the match but had come to pick the kids up. The security guard, Vikas Dalvi, said that the actor was asked to vacate the dressing room meant only for the players and then he tried to walk onto stadium grounds and that’s when there was a scuffle.

Shah Rukh Khan has not attended any games at Wankehede Stadium ever since he got the five year ban but now it has been lifted. We are not sure how this will make a difference to life but at least he will return on screen during the next IPL if nothing else.

Sohail Khan to launch brother-in-law?

I actually saw this one coming. When Arpita Khan got married to Aayush Sharma in a lavish wedding, I had a very strong feeling he would, at some point, decide that he too could be in the movies. What better way than to exploit his brothers-in-law?

It is a well known fact that Sohail, Arbaaz and Salman love their adopted sister and would do anything for her happiness. All her petulant desires have been met without question so if hubby dearest decides he wants to act in a movie, why shouldn’t his new family be the ones to launch him?

It seems like Aayush is pretty keen on this and work on the yet to be named movie may start towards the end of this year. The grapevine also has it that Salman Khan will most probably make a special appearance in the movie in a dance number just to get the ratings going.

I’m not engaged: Katrina denies marriage rumours

Katrina Kaif who is back from her holiday in London was seen talking to reporters at the trailer launch of Phantom. When asked about her marriage plans, she said, “I’m glad you asked that but I’m definitely not engaged. I know you guys are so sweet and you seem to want me to get married but there are no such plans now. So please bear with me being not married for some more time.” Whatever happened to Ranbir’s proposal on her birthday?

Rishi Kapoor like a father to me, says Abhishek Bachchan

Actor Abhishek Bachchan is extremely fond of his All Is Well co-star Rishi Kapoor who is “like a father” to him.

“You cannot bring your personal life in front of the camera. Personally I love him. He is like a father to me. I’m a huge fan of his. But I cannot bring it in the film because that is the opposite of what I’m meant to play with him in the film,” said Abhishek about translating the off-screen camaraderie to on-screen chemistry in the film where they play a father-son duo.

Actor Supriya Pathak and director Umesh Shukla were also present at a special promotional interaction with the media.

John is half Malayalee and half Parsi. His father is a Christian from Kerala and mother belongs to the Indian Parsi community. Not many people know that John is also known as ‘Farhan’, due to his Irani connection. But ‘John’ was the name that the actor was given after his baptism.
