I think United will reign against Chelsea considering their recent form

Chelsea Vs Manchester United Today 7:30pm

My prediction: Blues... 2 Red Devils... 2

Now what do I want to happen in this game yawa? Let’s look at the facts first. Chelsea are struggling. They needed a major error from QPR goalkeeper Robert Green to get three points against QPR last weekend in a game that should really have ended in a draw. Cesc Fabregas found himself in the right place after Eden Hazard capitalised on Green’s mistake. Hazard will be the man to watch for Chelsea in this game and LVG needs to make sure that the Man United defence can neutralise him; just as QPR managed to do for nearly 90 minutes of their game.

Chelsea’s strength this season has been in their defence. Even when they have struggled to score like last weekend, their defence has always ensured that they don’t concede. Tim Cahill, John Terry and Ivanovic will have to be at their very best to ward off attacks from Wayne Rooney and whoever LVG decides to start with up front; and he has many options.

On the flanks, expert diver Ashley Young has actually been great for the Red Devils this season and so has Juan Mata. Both teams have great players who can match each other depending on what formation the two managers go with, but United are in the better form and have been releasing more convincing results.

This will be a mental game since both teams have so much to gain and so much to lose with the outcome. Mentally, I think Man United will reign supreme and it will allow Arsenal—I had to go there—to close the gap on the league leaders. I actually don’t mind if United win because Arsenal should focus on being “helped to second place” but on winning all her remaining league and cup games.

FA Cup semi Finals

Reading Vs Arsenal Today, 7:20pm

My Prediction: Reading... 0 Gunners...4

Arsenal are on a roll in the league and no Reading is going to stop us from defending our FA Cup trophy. Reading are 18th in the Championship while Arsenal are second in the Premier League. We are worlds apart and tonight it’s going to show. Reading beat Bradford 3-0 to get here and Bradford beat Chelsea 4-2 to get to the quarters.

And when Arsenal thrash Reading, it means we can beat Chelsea about 5-0 but I digress. The Gunners have no new injuries; in fact it’s just Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta who are still injured so manager Arsene Wenger will be spoiled for choice. That actually may be our biggest problem because I want Wenger to stick to the team that’s been winning for us of late.

In the Championship, Reading have won just one game in their last ten, and you have to go way back to the 10th of March to get their 2-1 win over Brighton. Arsenal beat Manchester United in the FA Cup quarters to get here and have only lost one league match this year. Enough said!

Aston Villa Vs Liverpool Sunday 6pm

My Prediction: Villa.... 2 Reds.....1

Liverpool fans seem to be already focusing on the final of the FA Cup despite struggling to even get this far. They seem to be saying Villa is a walk over but I think they need to pause and assess the real situation. The Reds may have begun to recover from their Manchester United and Arsenal ties but only to a degree.

They still struggled in the FA Cup quarter against Blackburn to get here and in the league they managed a 2-0 victory over Newcastle last Monday but that isn’t saying much. Newcastle have lost to everyone and their mother this season. Villa on the other hand have struggled throughout the league but April has been good to them.

A 3-3 draw with QPR before being Tottenham last weekend. That must have handed them the much needed boost for this game. This is going to be a tough one. Liverpool have their suspended players back while Villa want to save face in what has been a difficult season for them.
