
A 36-year-old man died after he jumped off from the sixth floor of a building in South C, Nairobi, witnesses and police said.
Police said Abdirizak Abdirahman sustained head injuries after
landing on the ground floor of the apartment on the September 1, 2025,
at about 1 pm.
The motive of the incident was not immediately established, police said, adding that they are investigating suicide.
Police visited the scene and secured CCTV
footage for review to establish what happened before the incident.
The body was moved to the local mosque ahead of
a planned burial event, police said, adding an autopsy was conducted at the prayer
place.
In Nyakach, Kisumu County, one Philip Akwambo,
32, was found dead in his bed after a suspected murder.
Police said the man had been assaulted and left for dead.
The body had injuries to the head and face. The body was moved to
the mortuary pending an autopsy and probe.
In Musanda, Kakamega County, one David Indwale,
21 and a form three student at Bulanda Secondary, was found dead on a footpath
near their homestead.
Police said the body had injuries on the head and believed to have been inflicted by a sharp object.
Police said they are
investigating a murder case in the incident, and no arrest has been made so far.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an
autopsy.
Elsewhere in Obama, Kayole, Nairobi, one Mwangangi Maleka, 21, was found dead after he had been assaulted by people known to him.
Witnesses told police the deceased was earlier seen with a woman before he was confronted by two men who assaulted him, fatally.
They later
escaped with the woman in the Monday incident.
The assailants later grabbed his shoes, keys and other
valuables.
Police said they are holding a suspect in connection with the
murder, and the hunt for more is ongoing.
Cases of murder are on the rise amid efforts to address the trend.
