The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Thursday hosted Senior Assistant Inspector General (retired) Omar Shuria.
Omar Shuria was also a special advisor to the Inspector General on counter-violent extremism and a longtime commandant of the Administration Police Training School.
The DCI via their social media handles hailed the visit.
"During the meeting, the two discussed various issues key among them the security situation in the country, particularly in the upper coast and North-Eastern region," DCI said.
The DCI chief appreciated the role played by retired security officers, adding that their wealth of experience remains a valuable tool for safer and more secure communities and neighbourhoods.
On his part, Shuria thanked the DCI boss for the key role that the Directorate has continued to play in guaranteeing the public safety and security of Kenyans.
