Kenya Kwanza head of communications Hussein Mohammed has congratulated president- elect William Ruto for winning the country's top seat.
Hussein on Monday in a statement stated that Ruto's hard work is an inspiration to Kenyans.
"Congratulations President-elect William Ruto, yours is an affirmation that hard work & determination pays and this will forever be an inspiration to all Kenyans, today & in the future. To my beloved countrymen & women, Kenya has won," he tweeted.
Hussein also congratulated deputy president-elect Rigathi Gachagua.
Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairperson Wafula Chebukati on Monday declared Ruto as the president- elect.
Ruto garnered 7,176,141 votes representing 50.49 percent of the total vote.
His closest opponent Azimio's Raila Odinga got 6,942,930 votes that represent 48.85 percent of the total votes.
