

Kenya National Commission on Human Rights will launch the State of Human Rights Report (November 2024-December 2025).
The report will be launched at the Sarova Stanley Hotel at 8 am.
KNCHR will present findings, emerging trends and priority actions aimed at strengthening protection and promotion of human rights across the country.
The commission’s report for July 2023–November 2024, highlighting major concerns like deaths during anti-Finance Bill protests (June 2024) with excessive force and impunity, the Shakahola tragedy, rising femicide, attacks on journalists, and failures in protecting protesters' right to assembly, urging the State to establish a Coroner General's office, criminalise enforced disappearances, and ensure accountability for violations.
The report details violations of the right to life, assembly, and expression, calling for legal reforms and implementation of existing laws like the National Coroners Service Act.
PS Omollo to unveil new brand for Public Benefit Organisations Authority
Interior PS Raymond Omollo will launch Public Benefit Organisations Regulatory Authority new brand.
The event will be held at the Movenpick Hotel, Westlands, Nairobi, at 10 am.
The Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority is a State corporation established under Section 34 of the Public Benefit Organizations Act, 2013.
It is responsible for registering, regulating, and coordinating all Public Benefit Organizations (PBOs), like charities and NGOs, ensuring transparency, accountability, and promoting a conducive environment for their work, replacing the former NGO Coordination Board and managing the sector's shift to the new legal framework that began in May 2024.

This report sheds light on the state of civic freedoms in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, highlighting key trends concerns and recommendations for safeguarding civic space in the region.
Civic freedoms in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania have been steadily diminishing, driven by government actions that increasingly constrain the ability of citizens, activists and civil society groups to operate freely.
Across the region, authorities have adopted a mix of administrative, legislative and security-driven approaches that narrow the space for expression, assembly and association.
These restrictions stem from heightened political competition, concerns over national security and a desire by governments to exert tighter control over dissenting voices.
EACC, partners set
for Anti-Corruption Day commemoration in Nairobi
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), in conjunction with the Kenya Leadership Integrity Forum (KLIF), will commemorate International Anti-Corruption Day.
The commemoration will be held at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC)-Aberdare Hall, from 8.30 am.
Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya will be the chief guest.

Standard Chartered Bank Kenya will officially launch Links to Work Progamme, a new three-year employability plan delivered in partnership with UNICEF Generation Unlimited.

Links to Work empowers underserved young women (aged 18–24) in Kenya and Nigeria with employability skills and access to sustainable jobs, supporting 3,000 participants and securing at least 1,500 job placements over three years.
