Thousands gathered in Bondo, western Kenya, as veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga was laid to rest at the Kang'o Ka'Jaramogi home in Bondo, Siaya County.
The burial follows days of national mourning and memorial events.
A 17-gun salute was reported as part of the full military honours. President William Ruto, former President Uhuru Kenyatta and other dignitaries attended the service, joined by thousands of mourners.
In the crowd, the emotions ran high as supporters paid tribute to the man known widely as “Baba”.

Earlier events this week included public viewings that drew massive crowds and led to tragic casualties.
The final burial in his home village was described as a peaceful closure to a week of national grief. With the military honours complete and the dignitaries present, Kenya bids farewell to a towering political figure whose ambitions and influence stretched over decades.
