

The Council of Governors (CoG) will convene a Full Council
Meeting on Monday, to elect its new leadership.
This is in accordance with the Intergovernmental Relations
Act, 2012.
The elections will determine the next Executive team,
including the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Chief Whip, and Committee Chairs.
The meeting will be held at the Council’s offices at Delta
Corner, Westlands, from 9 am.
The Council will then unveil the new leadership and brief
the media on key resolutions at 12pm.
Principal Secretaries
dispatched to spearhead launch of Nyota programme
President William Ruto has dispatched all his Principal
Secretaries (PSs) to their home counties rollout of the National Youth
Opportunities Towards Advancement (Nyota) programme.
At least each PS will be in their background this morning to
formally launch the Sh5 billion initiative aimed at supporting 100,000 young
people with start-up capital, training, and mentorship.
The PSs will be presiding over the launch of the exercise,
in which elected leaders and national government officers have been invited
from 9 am this morning.
Launched in partnership with the World Bank, the fund will
provide Sh50,000 grants to 70 youth in each of the country’s 1,450 wards,
enabling them to start business ventures.
Kindiki takes resource
mobilization drive to Garissa
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki will on Monday preside over
a resource mobilization event for small-scale traders affected by the Sug-Mugdi
Fire Tragedy in Garissa Town Constituency, Garissa County.
Kindiki will be accompanied by other leaders from the
region.
Property of unknown value was destroyed in the blaze.
Suq Mugdi serves as the county’s main market and a key
commercial hub in the region.
Kenya Power to launch
three new customer service platforms
Kenya Power is set to unveil three new digital platforms
aimed at improving customer service and engagement.
The launch event will take place at Stima Plaza in Ngara
from 8 am, where the company will showcase the innovations designed to simplify
how customers access services and interact with the utility provider.
According to Kenya Power, the platforms are part of its
broader digital transformation strategy to enhance efficiency, transparency,
and user experience.
A live demonstration of the new digital solutions will
follow the official launch.
