Activist Mwabili Mwagodi claims officers at Central Police Station advised him they couldn’t record a statement about the loss of his items in a recent incident due to jurisdictional limitations.

Mwagodi, who was accompanied by his mother and civil society allies, expressed frustration after he attempted to report the loss of his phone, ATM cards, and documents following a recent ordeal.

“I came to report the incident, but I was told they couldn’t help,” he told reporters. Police have not yet responded to requests for comment.
