Revered Meru Council of elders, Njuri Ncheke, has asked Raila Odinga to call off his planned State House march mass action, warning of a possible bloodbath.
The council warned Raila that if he tries to force his way to State House with his supporters to allegedly reclaim his 'stolen victory', the country will go to the dogs.
"You can't just walk into State House and try to evict the president, he is not like a leaf of paper to be plucked out, blood will be spilt," said council Secretary-General Josphat Murangiri.
In a statement, the elders cautioned that Raila should be cautious about actions that could plunge the country into violence.
The council said Raila should accept that President William Ruto is the duly elected President of the Republic of Kenya.
"You lost the election, and presented a lorry full of evidence to the Supreme Court but that was rejected, how can you come after six months to say that you want to force your way to State House using protests?" Murangiri said.
Murangiri said the council respects Raila but cautioned that, while there is the freedom to protest in the country, the route Azimio is taking will be disastrous.
"Raila has no good intentions for the country, forcing your way to State House amounts to treason," he said.
"Raila wants Kenyans to die and property destroyed, he should wait for the next campaigns and run again if he wants."
The elder asked Azimio to sensitise Kenyans about the consequences that would follow if his supporters stormed the State House.
However, Raila has insisted that his Monday State House march mass action will be peaceful.
He has asked his supporters to converge in Nairobi to reclaim what he has termed as his stolen victory.
