Opposition leader Raila Odinga has told off President William Ruto and his deputy president Rigathi Gachagua over what he termed as "empty threats".
Speaking at Kamukunji on Monday, Raila dismissed the duo saying he won't be cowed.
"Ruto na huyo Gachagua wake, wacheni upuzi , Kenya si yenu," he said.
Loosely translated to: "Ruto and his deputy Gachagua, stop the nonsense, Kenya is not yours".
Raila emphasized that he cannot be shaken and threatened.
The ODM party leader also called on Kenyans to stand with those whose elections were stolen in the August 2022.
Raila said he was ready to be taken to jail but he will continue to fight the Ruto's government.
On Sunday, President William Ruto dared Odinga to lead demonstrations over the outcome of the August 9 General Election, terming it as a move financed by cartels opposed to reforms in the coffee, tea and milk sectors.
Ruto claimed Odinga was determined to sabotage his administration’s efforts to revive the economy.
“They cannot hold this country, hostage, again. Over the years, he ( Odinga) has held protests and benefited. You want to plan protests for me? Go ahead, but I will not dwell on settling issues of one person,” he said
