

Handicap 16, Sharon Moraa beat a strong
field of 68 golfers to win the ‘Changamka na Unicolour’ golf tournament held at
the lush Kisii Golf Course.
Moraa claimed the overall title after carding an impressive 68 nett, also securing the ladies' winner title.
She
continued with her dominance by bagging the longest drive title in the ladies'
category.
On form Christopher Maato, 74, playing off a
handicap of 10, delivered a masterclass
by winning the men’s title with 70 nett.
Maato had a nice day on the course. He also bagged
the Mug winner prize and showed surgical precision to win the Nearest to Pin
prize on course one.
Zachary Bichage, playing off a handicap of eight, secured the runners-up and Bernard Onsongo, playing off a handicap of 36, settled for the Men's winner third, both with 70 nett.
Handicap 15 Elizabeth Mose emerged as the
Lady winner with 74 nett. The First and Second Nines were won by Sarah Omingo
and Frank Okoko on scores of 30 and 31 nett, respectively.
Omingo also took home the Nearest to Pin prize on course two, while Kisii County Assembly speaker Phillip Machuki picked the Nearest to Pin prize on course one.
Handicap 42 Alanna Osoro bagged the the
Junior winner after posting an impressive 68 nett.
Veteran Moses Momanyi, the senior-most golfer at the club, playing off a handicap of 17, won in his category with a nett of 79.
John Kumenda scored an eagle on the par-four ninth hole, a memorable moment for the player.
The prize for Longest Drive on course one went to Adarsh Benn, while on course two, Moraa prevailed again.
The dream of a hole-in-one prize, with a complete home makeover valued at $1,000, remained elusive, with the club captain, Adrian Monari, coming agonizingly close by making a two on the tricky hole.
