‎Over 270 golfers are set to descend on the lush par-73 Ruiru Sports Club this weekend for the annual Legendary golf tournament, an event that has quickly become a highlight on the amateur golfing calendar.

‎The tournament will draw players from across the country and will culminate in a glamorous prize-giving ceremony, complete with live band entertainment to cap off the spectacle.
‎Ruiru Sports Club is steadily carving out its reputation as a premier hub for corporate and social tournaments. 
‎Club captain Justus Mathenge confirmed the course is in pristine condition and primed to test the country’s finest.
‎"Our course is in excellent condition, providing the perfect stage for talent to shine,” Mathenge noted.
‎He highlighted the significance of hosting the event at Ruiru, noting its growing stature in the golfing scene.
‎“We are excited to welcome some of golf’s leading figures to Ruiru for the Legendary Golf Day."
‎"This collaboration with top corporate partners allows us to offer a memorable experience, with attractive prizes up for grabs," he added.
‎Action is expected to tee off as early as 6:40 am on the 18-hole course, with the afternoon wave set to start from 10:50 am.
‎The tournament has also received a significant boost from headline sponsors, including First Assurance and Kingdom Bank.

‎Njogu reiterated his readiness to stamp his authority on the Ruiru course.
‎“My swing is in perfect condition and I feel ready to defend the title,” he stated.
‎Also in the mix is in-form Grace Miano, fresh from clinching the overall ladies’ title at September Pendant Golf with an impressive net score of 70.
‎Miano noted that her recent success will fuel her hunger for glory this weekend.
‎“Building on my recent success against the country’s best amateurs, I’m eager to compete in what promises to be a highly competitive tournament," Miano said.
‎She further exuded confidence about her current form.
‎"My form and confidence are strong, and I’m aiming to make a mark from the very start,” she added.
‎Adding firepower to the field are long-hitting single handicapper John Mburu and Nathaniel Nguithi.
