Under pressure, Shabana coach Peter Okidi has termed Wednesday's game against AFC Leopards a 'must-win'.

Shabana has lost two consecutive home games and remains winless in three matches in the Sportpesa League.

On Sunday, the Glamour Boys suffered a 1-0 loss against Mathare United at Gusii Stadium.

Former Shabana striker Dennis Okoth scored the all-important goal for the Slum Boys in the 39th minute to silence the home crowd.

"We must win against AFC Leopards. That's the only result we want. After three games without a win, we need to recollect ourselves and bounce back. We need to get our campaign back on track," the CAF-licensed coach remarked.

He added:

"At the beginning of the season, we set our target of winning all our home matches, but we have lost two so far. It's still early in the season and going forward, we want to make Gusii Stadium a fortress."

AFC Leopards is unbeaten in the league and recorded their first win after seeing off KCB 2-1 on Saturday. Fred Ambani's charges will seek to pile more misery on Shabana.

Okidi rued the absence of his key players, among them captain George Onyango, midfielder Keith Imbali, and forward Brian Michira.

The trio has missed the last three games due to injuries. He, however, said he expects the trio to be back in the next three games.

"They are responding well to treatment. Imbali might be back in the game against AFC Leopards, while Onyango should be back in the game against Ulinzi and Michira in two weeks," he added.

The coach rued a host of missed chances against Mathare and challenged his forwards to be clinical in front of goal.

"Mathare had one chance and scored. We had several chances but failed to kill off the game," noted the coach.

Shabana, assistant secretary general, Evans Kibagendi, appealed for calm.

"We should now focus on our next three games. The technical bench and the players are aware of the pain we are going through. As management, we have expressed our feelings and suggestions. We now focus on picking nine points in our upcoming three games," said Kibagendi.

In other mid-week games, Sofapaka hosts Mara Sugar at Masarani Annex on Tuesday, while Tusker, buoyed by their first win of the season against Murang'a seal will be up against Kariobangi Sharks at Ulinzi Sports Complex, while Ulinzi Stars faces Bidco United at the same venue.
