The burial of Kezia Obama, the step-mother of former US president Barack Obama, took place on Saturday at her home in Nyang'oma Kogelo village in Siaya county.
Keziah died at a London hospital on April 13, aged 81.
He body was repatriated from UK on Friday for overnight stay at her rural home.
She is to be buried before 1pm Sunday, in line with Islamic rites.
Leaders attending the burial include Siaya Senator James Orengo, Deputy Governor James Okumbe and Rarieda MP Otiende Amolo among others.
