Diamond Platnumz's dad Mzee Abdul says he has been diagnosed with skin cancer.
Mzee Juma told 'Simulizi Na Sauti' he has been having a leg problem for years now.
"I also sought help from traditional doctors but the disease keeps coming and going," he said.
Mzee Abdul says his daughter Zubeida, who lives in the UK, is the one who has been helping him get medical attention.
Abdul said Diamond had promised to take him abroad for further treatment before disowning him last year and claiming his real dad's name is Mzee Nyange and not Mzee Abdul.
"Many things unfolded and that promise did not happen, things turned out different."
He asked well-wishers to help him. "It is hard for people to understand what I am going through."
