Canadian rapper and singer Drake, with his fellow countryman singer-songwriter PartyNextDoor, just made history by releasing 19 music videos
for their song "Somebody Loves Me".
The two Canadians who teamed up for their collaborative
project '$ome $exy $ongs 4 U' have
revealed 19 videos for one of the album's biggest singles.
Drake and PartyNextDoor asked fans to submit their ideas for
videos following streamer Kai Cenat's comment in May when he said he hoped the
video for 'Nokia' would have gone in a different direction.
This led the three to throw a contest, asking fans to submit
their ideas, receiving thousands of submissions. 20 finalists were promised
$15,000 after being selected for their 30-second to one-minute clip of the
song.
Out of the thousands, 20 winners were selected and announced
in June, who turned in their self-directed videos for the track.
However, only 19 music videos have been put out as official
videos and can be viewed on Drake's official website, 'Drake Related'.
"Our finalists represent a diverse range of experience
levels, as we were committed to giving new and emerging directors - including a
few first-time directors - the opportunity to show their talent," a post
reads on the website regarding the videos.
Recently, Drake also made history by headlining all three
nights of Wireless Festival in London, with each night featuring a distinct
theme and guest artists.
The musician's catalog gave the fans different sets each
night for the festival's 20th anniversary.
Drake brought out various surprise guest artists, such as
Afrobeats superstars Burna Boy and Rema,
dancehall icon Vybz Kartel, and British rapper 21 Savage
Currently, Drake and PartyNextDoor are holding a European tour titled '$ome $pecial $hows 4 EU' with stops in Milan, Italy, Paris, France, and various cities in Germany. The tour, which began on July 20, 2025, in Birmingham, UK, is scheduled to end in late September.
