PRESIDENT RUTO AT MAASAI MARA

President William Ruto on July 24 presided over the global coverage launch of the 2025 Great Wildebeest Migration at Maasai Mara National Reserve in Narok.
Every year, over two million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles migrate across the Serengeti in Tanzania, heading north to the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of better grazing lands.
The migration begins in Tanzania on the Ndutu Plains and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
It is estimated that 500,000 calves are born during these six weeks.
As the plains start to dry up, the wildebeest and other grazing mammals head north from Ngorongoro towards the Serengeti, moving clockwise as they work their way up towards the Maasai Mara.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi addresses the gathering during the celebration of Egypt's National Day at the Ambassador’s residence in Nairobi on July 24, 2025.
Kenya is strengthening its ties with Egypt in a renewed push to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, and people-to-people relations.
This growing partnership was on full display during Egypt’s National Day celebrations held in Nairobi, where Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi reaffirmed the two countries’ commitment to shared development goals.
“Trade between Kenya and Egypt has been on an upward trajectory, with the total trade volume estimated at between 600 million and 700 million US Dollars in 2025,” Mudavadi said.
“Notably, Egypt is Kenya’s second largest tea market in the world.”
Speaking at the residence of the Egyptian Ambassador during the 105th anniversary of Egypt’s independence, Mudavadi described the visit by President William Ruto to Egypt in January as historic.
